Success! First I selected View -> Go To -> Location and set the view to Liverpool, United Kingdom. Then I selected Insert -> WMS and copied this url, http://maps.bgs.ac.uk/ArcGIS/services/BGS_Detailed_Geology/MapServer/WMSServer?, in to the bottom line of the URL list. Then I selected bedrock as the displayed layer. I did a little troubleshooting and discovered that if you set the resolution too high it won’t plot. In the attached figure I set the pixel size to 10 meters. I also displayed a Bing Maps map at 50 percent transparency over the bedrock.
This was all done using EnviroInsite 2012. I haven’t tested it in EnviroInsite 7.

I am currently using version 7.5.1.10 EnviroInsite software.
I want to be able to import WMS layers into the software from the British Geological Society. However, after I have added the URL from the website and followed the Help contents instructions and selected ok; it pops up with ‘part of the path cannot be found’
I was just wondering if someone could help me with where I am going wrong?
