After installing some other new software today, EI 2012 is no longer working. The software I installed was Nuance PDF Converter V8. I have the icon on desktop and it will start the program but all it generates is a small icon on the bottom task bar. When I hover or click to enlarge it will not do so, only showing me the basic layout of the main EI2012 screen, with most of it black.
I was able to reproduce the problem by closing EnviroInsite from a minimized state.
To fix this problem, open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\HydroAnalysis. You should see a folder with a strange name starting with EnviroInsite.exe. You should next see a folder with the version number of EnviroInsite that you’re using. Open this folder and then rename the user.config file in that folder to user_bak.config. Now restart EnviroInsite. Let me know how that goes.
