I generated a data file using the EI Data Export report in EQuIS Pro, but I can't get the data to plot in EI. What do I do?

There are any number of things that can go wrong. First thing to do is to locate the Access mdb file generated by EQuIS Pro. Currently, the file is written to subfolders of Documents\My EQuIS Work. Look for your facility name and keep probing till you find a file called ei.mdb with the appropriate modification date and time. Open the file and look for the following potential problems:

(1) The Group field in the Screens table is not populated. If this is the case then simply add a hyphen to each of the null values in this field. If there are 10,000 records then this is going to take a long time!! You can contact support@enviroinsite.com and we'll help you with a query to populate the field. This is a bug in the EQuIS Pro code. The EarthSoft development team are extremely professional and should have it resolved shortly. If you see this problem, please by all means notify the EarthSoft help desk.

(2) The Fraction field in the Observations or Constituents tables is not populated. See item 1.

(3) Check that the values in the Top of Casing, Surface Elevation, and Well Bottom Elevation make sense with respect to each other.

(4) Check that the screen elevations in the Screens table are such that the top of screens is above the bottom of the screen and not defined so that they are above the ground surface (as defined in the well tab).

Problems encountered as in items 3 or 4 may be due to incorrect unit conversions, units that are not populated in the EQuIS tables, or ground surface, well depth elevations that are not entered or entered incorrectly. You can try the "Flatland" option in the EQuIS Pro report. This will fix these elevations, but not allow you plot anything in 3d or to create cross sections. The EarthSoft help desk are well versed in all of these problems and can likely advise you as to which fields need to be populated within the EQuIS database.

It seems that EarthSoft has resolved the Group value problem. Thank you EarthSoft.
