Can't plot stiff diagrams without equivalent weights
Permalink

I'm using EnviroInsite w/ EQuIS K'Nect and am having a problem plotting stiff diagrams. The stiff plot is complaining about equivalent weights not being populated some place.  Is that in EQuIS or is that in a table someplace in the program?

The equivalent weight must be entered in EQuIS in order to generate the Stiff Diagrams.  The field is rt_analyte_detail.equivalent_weight.  Make sure that you also have rt_analyte_detail.cas_rn, rt_analyte.cas_rn, and rt_analyte.chemical_name populated correctly.  If your anion and cation concentrations are in mg/L then your equivalent weights should be in mg/mEq.  Also, make sure to enter the anion equivalent weights as negative numbers.  Here are some of the most common groundwater cations and anions, with the anion equivalent weights specified as negative per the EnviroInsite convention.
