I downloaded a trial version of your software and was running through your tutorial and specifically, trying to load site1.xls, when I received a series of error messages. I’ve attached a word doc with screen shots of the errors I received. Are they related to a bad install or am I missing a file of some sort? Please let me know if you need more information and thank in advance for your help!!
Here's what the first error message looks like.
dt_db.OpenOdbcConnection
Provider=MSDASQL;Driver={Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls, *.xlsx, *.xlsm, *.xlsb))};Dbq=C:\Users\blj\Documents\My EnviroInsite Work\Tutorial\site1.xls;ReaOnly=False;ERROR [IM002][Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified at System.Data.Odbc.OdbcConnecitonHandle....
This typically occurs when you install the 64-bit version of the application, but have the 32-bit version of MS Office installed. Unfortunately, having the 32-bit version of MS Office installed limits you to running the 32-bit version of EnviroInsite. The other possibility is that you don’t have MS Office installed at all in which case you should install the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255.
I’m looking for alternatives to allow others in your situation to run the 64-bit version. I’ll let you know if I find anything.
