Smoothing 3D Stratigraphy Surface

Attached is an EI image of several wells and the bedrock surface.  The bedrock surface contours and colors look great in plan view, but in an oblique view the surface is rough.  Any way to improve this?

The filled 2d contours are not intended to be shown in 3d. My suggestion would be to plot the surface as a 3d geologic model (Plot -> Stratigraphy -> 3d Geologic Model). Then plot line contours (Plot -> Stratigraphy -> Contour). Make sure to select "Line" as the contour type and "Contoured Data Values" as the Drape option. These are both in the Options tab of the stratigraphy contour object. I also found that I needed to increase the vertical thickness of the line contour and to change the Transparency Render option to "Depth Mask". You can access the latter by selecting View -> Options.  The downside to this approach is that you won't get the color fill to change with elevation.  I've attached an image of an example using the EI tutorial files.
