I use EQuIS Pro to create my EnviroInsite data files. After I do some work in EnviroInsite there are times where I want to be able to use my most recent work in EnviroInsite, but with an updated version of data from EQuIS. How can I do that without redoing all of the work in EnviroInsite?
The key here is that you need to be able to open your vizx or xml file that was generated in EnviroInsite, but to have it access the newly generated data file. To do so,
(1) Start EnviroInsite and open the vizx or xml file that you created previously.
(2) Select File->Open Database and open the file that has been recently created by EQuIS Pro. These are stored in subfolders of Documents\My Equis Work. All of the files are called ei.mdb, but will be stored in folders named according to when they were generated.
(3) If you are working in EnviroInsite2012 you will see a message asking if you want to have the program redraw the plotted objects. Hit the yes button. The plots will generate with the new data.
(4) Select File -> Save to save the vizx or xml file with a link to the new data file.
